Former Ondo State governor, Olusegun Mimiko, has declared his bid to run for president in 2019.
Mimiko said he will contest on the platform of Labour Party, LP.
He made his intention known on Thursday, at about 12:15pm, when he visited the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
Speaking at the event, he said there comes a time in the life of a nation where all patriots must stand up to be counted.
He said, “I have found it compelling to declare my intention to run for president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”
Mimiko lamented the killings that are going on across the country especially in the middle-belt, saying purposeful leadership was required to halt the carnage.
