Nigerian youths who are interested could leverage the Google empowerment programme to lift their skills and improve their chances of getting employment

Nigerian youths who desire the best for themselves should ensure they participate in this Google Empowerment Programme.

The Federal Government through the Ministry of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy (FMACCE) is set to launch a training initiative aimed at empowering 2,500 young creatives, with a possible leap to to 10, 000 participants.

It is called the Creative Leap Acceleration Programme (CLAP), and its essence is to boost innovation and foster creative skills development through a public-private partnerships framework.

CLAP, spearheaded by FMACCE and executed by the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), seeks to equip aspiring creatives with essential skills while fostering sustainable growth within Nigeria’s creative industry.

The NCAC is leveraging its broad network and experience in the cultural sector to ensure the programme’s success.

More importantly, it is a Google Empowerment Programme and would draw input from Del York Creative Academy targets to liberate Nigerian youths from poverty and unemployment, two critical conditions that could trigger involvement in social vices.

Participants will gain insights and practical competences in such areas as music, film, animation, content creation, live production, and audio, all key areas in the creative economy.

The Honourable Minister Hannatu Musa-Musawa of the FMACCE is already upbeat about both the collaboration and the programe itself.

“This partnership underscores our commitment to nurturing Nigeria’s creative talent. By empowering our youth with skills to thrive in the creative industries, we are not only creating jobs but also positioning Nigeria as a global leader in cultural exports”, she says..

“This programme aligns with the president’s Renewed Hope agenda, empowering our youth to drive innovation and contribute to economic growth.”

Duration and Thematic Areas

For 6 weeks, participants would be exposed to practical skills they need to be competent in the chosen fields,

These areas include storyboarding, shooting, editing, motion graphics, and AI integration in the creative process.
