Following the unfavourable treatment they received in the hands of their hosts, Lybia, the Super Eagles team has successfully returned to the country.

The team was billed to play their hosts on Tuesday but had unpleasant experiences, from being unexpectedly diverted to a remote airport, to being left without convenient accommodation for hours.

Their match was supposed to take place on Tuesday, in Benghazi, but the players and officials  raised issues of a deliberate decision by local football federation, to weaken the Nigerian players before their game.

The country’s Football Federation president, Abdelhakim Al-Shalmanihas since resigned his job saying there were no such sabotage.
