Drugs: Ex-Beauty Queen Surrenders To NDLEA After 8 Months Hiding

After spending 8 months in hiding, an ex-beauty queen has eventually handed over herself to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

Aderinoye Queen Christmas, also known as Queen Oluwadamilola, was crowned Miss Commonwealth Nigeria Culture 2015/2016, but went into hiding upon being linked with drug peddling.

The news was broken today by the NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi in a statement on Sunday.

He said the ex-beauty queen turned in herself last Wednesday, August 28 to teh Lagos Command of the agency.

Ex-Beauty QueenQueen Christmas escaped an NDLEA raid last January 2024, after the agency’s operatives stormed her Lekki, Lagos residence.

But those who came for the operation, recovered 606 grams of Canadian Loud (a synthetic strain of cannabis), an electronic weighing scale, a large quantity of drug packaging materials, a black RAV 4 SUV with Lagos license plates, and other items.

The NDLEA operatives also carried out another operation whereby they seized 1,122 kilograms of cannabis from a suspect named Mustapha Ibrahim along Orchid Road in Ajah, Lagos State, on Monday, August 26.

An additional 816 kilograms of cannabis, belonging to another suspect still at large, was recovered from the same location.

NDLEA Chairman/Chief Executive Officer Brig.-Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd) has commended the officers for their vigilance and professionalism.
