Police Shot, Wound Man Fighting Motorists Who Crushed His 2 ..

There is no better example of double tragedy than what had just happened to a 28 year old man: he has been shot by police while fighting motorists who just crushed his two relatives.

As a result, Tasizio Dafuleni is not in hospital being treated for the wounds he sustained from the police.

According to Malawi based online medium, Zodiak Online, Dafuleni is currently receiving treatment for the bullet wounds at the Dedza district hospital

Report credits the Village Head, simply identified as Abraham as saying that a vehicle hit Dafuleni’s two relatives at Mtakataka.

In anger, Dafuleni reportedly tried to set the vehicles on fire, but police who arrived the scene and were trying to bring order, shot him on the thigh.

The incident has begun to generate different reactions from the public, with many people against the police method of adjudicating the matter.

“The whole police couldn’t stop 1 person from causing trouble by any other means apart from shooting at him?”, said one person.

“He never meant to cause the breach of peace. He was traumatized, confused and insanely shocked. The trained  police could use what they learnt kukanjedza uko to calm him down or any other possible way than live bullet. It’s kinda unprofessional and reckless”, another added.
