Obasa Versus Meranda: Incumbent speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Lasbat Meranda, may be forced to step down for her ousted colleague, Mudashiru Obasa.
Both lawmakers are currently in a closed down meeting with Lagos State Attorney General Lawal Mohammed Alade Pedro (SAN), All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman Cornelius Ojelabi, and 38 lawmakers at the assembly garden.
Though the exact purpose of the reconciliation meeting which comes ahead of the plenary scheduled for later this afternoon, was not released, feelers from undercurrents suggest that it may lead to Meranda vacating the exalted seat.
The manner of Obasa storming the assembly complex and holding a plenary session with four lawmakers, despite his impeachment by the majority of the house, lends credence to the speculation.
It is believed, that Obasa could not have taken such a bold initiative if he was not being backed by the movers and shakers of the party.

The Eagle reports that this is coming amidst tense atmosphere around the assembly complex following police deployment of personnel there.

Preset there were a combined team of security men including the police, operatives of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Security Corps and men of Civil Defence.
It is believed that the party high command is stepping into Obasa Versus Meranda issue given its potential to shake the very foundation of the party.
