Last Sunday was a sad day in Port Harcourt, and also for Nollywood following the death of a Nollywood actor, Prince Dammy Eke, in a very shocking manner.
According to a reliable source, Dammy came back on Saturday from a movie location and decided to hang out in the evening of the following day in a restaurant/bar known as Tapas.
Tapas is located at No 103 Woji Estate road, and then a tragic and unexpected incident happened.
Eze Nganga ( Nganga Nation) as he was fondly called, was said to have stood up to dance, after taking few bottles.
He was said to have been lured to the dance floor, by a song track – one million dollar – when he slumped and died at the spot.
The cause of his death has not been ascertained as at the time of filling this report, but his remains have been deposited at the mortuary, awaiting further directives from his family, particularly concerning burial dates.
The most painful part of Dammy’s sudden departure is that it happened at the peack of his acting career, because he acted alongside the main and biggest Nollywood Stars, one role to another.
Dammy was a Justice of Peace, and adopted son of late King Eze Frank Eke( Eze Gbakagbaka of Evo Kingdom,Ikwere land).
On his last post on Facebook, he had said: ” when you know God’s ways, you must surely cause waves —thank you Lord for a successful shot, love and ashes – – – unto the next one – – x x GRACE”.
