What could force a groom-to-be to his knees in begging his brother in-law-to-be, just two days away from his wedding?
The answer obviously lies with the groom himself, what he did that made the brother-in-law to want to call off the wedding.
Sharing the story, brother to the 26-year-old bride Temitayo Felix Ilori said in a Facebook post that truly, he stepped in just two hours before the traditional ceremony upon stumbling on derp secret.
His sister’s fiancé had a child he allegedly kept secret throughout their three-year relationship.
He himself is 29-year-old and he said his family had contributed money towards the wedding, before the secret came to the open.
Even their mother had borrowed money to ensure the ceremony went ahead.
However, the groom’s best friend contacted him privately shortly before the event, urging him to inform his sister about the revelation before she married the man.
According to the account, the friend disclosed that the groom had a two-year-old child with a woman living in Ibadan.

He confronted his prospective brother-in-law, and he broke down and begged for forgiveness.
He explained that the groom claimed the child’s mother was in Ibadan and that his family had advised him to keep the information from his fiancée until after the wedding, believing she would understand eventually.
Faced with the decision to remain silent or inform his sister before the ceremony, the man chose to tell her the truth.
According to a source, his sister reportedly collapsed after learning about the revelation, and the wedding was cancelled despite about 300 guests already seated with different roles towards the solemnisation of the wedding.
