NIJ STUDENTS PREPARE FOR 2018 CHRISTMAS CAROL

Preparations are in top gear for the upcoming 2018 Christmas Carol of the students of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Lagos .

The event which will take place in the school hall, normally attracts an impressive attendance, not only from the students, but also staff and friends.

Mr Familugba Victor, who is playing a key role in the preparations told our reporter that the upcoming event would be something to remember, even as the students are looking up to it with eagerness.

Though the exact date has not been released by the school management but shadow committees and groups are already in place, and have started preparations in earnest.  comes up early in the month of December

“We are all eager to showcase our talents in the Xmas Carol, the students can’t wait, I am sure it’s going to be awesome”, , Familugba said.

” Regarding the date, the school management are yet to make that announcement but it comes up early in the month of December” he added.

Dayo Williams, who is also saddled with a key responsibility towards the carol had begun to make the round seeking needed equipment like projectors.

Also reacting to the upcoming event, a member of the Students’ Representative Council, Bernard Victory, said students were expectant and fully prepared, to make sure the carol turned out successful.

“For this carol, we should expect students involvement, we believe everybody will play their part.  We also believe that the school will make the hall available for use” he added.

For the NIJ,  the carol is usually a bold affirmation of the arrival of Christmas as both students and staff get adorned in the beautiful Christmas colours of red and white.
