There was near stampede today Customs Begins Sale Of N10k Rice. The sale took off at the Yaba office of the Nigeria Customs Service .

A 25 kilograms of the commodity sold at N10,000 .

The sale of the commodity was as promised by the Federal Government as a way of alleviating the sufferings that Nigerians were going through

While some desperate individuals were able to succeed, it was utter frustration for others who couldn’t, leading to some of them flaking the Senator Bola Tinubu administration.

As captured on our earlier story, the Comptroller General, Mr Adewale Adeniyi of the NCS had said.

That the rice that would go on sale were actually seized from unscrupulous elements and that the service had already perfected the arrangements of a seamless sale to Nigerians at N10, 000 per 25 kilograms bag.

Despite the comparatively short time within which the subsided sale was made known, a cache of Nigerians made their way to the office of the customs seeking to get hold of the essential commodity.

Even as Customs begins sale of N10k rice, President Bola Tinubu was today charged to urgently address the issue of increasing hardship afflicting Nigerians.

The call was made by the Anglican Bishop of Ikwerre Diocese, River State, Dr Blessing Enyindah, during a sermon at the interment ceremony for late Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu at the Saint Andrews Cathedral Church Imola, Owo, Ondo State

“May I on behalf of Nigerians pray and call on the President, Senator Bola Tinubu, to do something to reduce the hardship faced by Nigerians”, Enyindah said adding:

“We have the hope he would do it because he promised us renewed hope and according to him, it is his turn, so the turn and opportunity have been given to him now. We are waiting and expecting the fulfillment of the renewed hope.

“We plead with him to do it fast because time, that is four or eight years as the case may be, is brief and the time is running”, the cleric said.
