Let Me Share With You What Happened To Me Growing Up

My name is Mary Onoge Omokhagbor, and I know I am a rare breed.

Looking at me, you will but agree. I am an African woman with freckles and I hail from Okpella, Etsako East local government of Edo state

If I say I am a person of several parts, it is like stating the obvious, as my interest areas span writing on both print and broadcast platforms, meaning I am a multi-disciplinarian journalist.

For me, it was a mix of experiences growing up.

And part of the reason, I want to serve as an agent of change in my society. And though things might not look like it in this country of ours right now, I am optimistic they will in the future.

For all I do, my vision is to become one of the most influential women in Nigeria down to Africa and the entire world using the media, philanthropy and entertainment as launching pads.

Good enough, the aspirations are already beginning to take shape for I am regular here on The Eagle platform.

Check me out regularly as I lend a voice to the voiceless providing a platform for them to be heard.

With The Eagle and the entirety of the media, I am here to advocate for the less privileged.

The less privileged? Yes.

Because I also have a story. When I was growing up, I was bullied because of my facial appearance and was denied so many privileges, but through it all, I survived. ,I was able to get over by loving myself.

I believe some people are going through what I have passed through or worse, and that is why I want to use my voice to give a support for them

It is sad that for example, that people are suffering in a nation so blessed, in a country very well endowed.

–I will be back; see you
