It was double jeopardy earlier today when fire fighters arrived the scene of a fire incident only to run out of water.

The unfortunate development saw them helpless, watching while the inferno did its worst on the former JFM building near Edewor Shopping Plaza, in Efurun, Delta State.

Report says the cause of the fire remained unknown, amidst fears it could spread to buildings nearby but there was nothing the fire fighters could do.

A correspondent of the Vanguard who arrived the scene reports sighting officials from the Delta State Fire Service almost helpless..

The fire could be sighted from the third floor raging on ferociously.

Policemen are on standby to forestall any breakdown of law and order, as well as looting of the building by hoodlums
