Even in the face of a death sentence, men driven by truth would stand by the truth. So it was for this father of Hammed Akinbami and Ojo Akinbami.
The duo was arrested over the brutal murder of a family of six and he publicly accepted death sentences for them.
He had acknowledged in virile broadcast that the actions were terrible and that the two should go in for it if convicted.
The two alongside, alongside an accomplice, had, on September 22, allegedly invaded the residence of a man named Ifeanyi Chukwu, killing him, his wife, and their four young children.
They robbed the family of ₦200,000 cash, a motorcycle, and farm machinery before tying up and throwing the victims’ bodies into a nearby river
The attack had left Oloore village in the Lagelu local government area of Ibadan in shock, forcing the police into action and leading to the arrest of the suspects .

They were later identified by the Oyo State Police Command as behind the act.
The police traced the escalation of the vicious attack to a minor dispute over a damaged mobile phone.
It has also promised transparent handling of the case, including speedy prosecution in court.
