Why You Should Save And Invest…BY NELSON NSIKAN
Have you thought about starting something for yourself?
Have you ever sat down to look at some products you are using or some services that you receive, and you realise that someone somewhere is making money because of you?
It is really cool to sit back in your office and wait for your comfortable salary at the end of the month. However, if you observe closely, you could also be an owner of a company too and pay someone salary.
You need a next step!
That next step is to save and invest.
We all know that our comfort zones can become too comfortable with the same old problems that we can easily handle. No disputing the choices of those, who decide to remain salary earners it is their choice really. However, you cannot ignore that urge to be at the top of an organization and be related to a brand.
Many businesses that are blooming today did not just appear, but started with a very good business idea that underwent thorough investigation and research.
There are no shortcuts to starting your own business. You will have to acquire any necessary academic credentials and/or the skills and training to take advantage of some of these opportunities.

It can actually allow you to make a name for yourself and develop a list of clients so you will already have potential customers when you start your own business.
There are many reasons why having a solid business plan is a good idea. An essential component of a business plan is researching the market. Going through this exercise will tell you whether your business idea is feasible in your area.
Having a business plan is also essential if you need startup capital such as debt financing from a bank or equity financing from investors.
When you have a business plan and startup capital in place, select a winning name for your business and register it with your state.
Decide what type of business ownership works best for you. Do you want to be a sole proprietor or start a partnership? Should you incorporate? Get any business licenses or permits that are required, and register for taxes if this is necessary in your state. Look into insurance needs. Then start promoting your business.
It is not easy, and will take time and dedication from you only at your own pace. The suggestions might not matter much to you now because of funds.
Nevertheless, whenever you feel you have some money that you want to invest, think about it.
