WHY – An eight year old primary 5 pupil caused a major scare in the Ogba area of Lagos Friday when he threatened to stab his 11 year old brother with a broken bottle.

However, a 35 year old bachelorette and witness who simply identified herself as Mercy, told our correspondent: “As I was dressing for work, I heard a sound like a bottle being smashhed ,then a voice followed crying and saying: ” I will kill you  today’  i will kill you ” .

“I ran out, and to my greatest surprise I saw wisdom running towards me and goodness running after him with a broken bottle. I screamed and jumped over him to collect the object.

“When asked what transpired, Goodness narrated in tears: ‘ our mummy before leaving for work instructed us on what to do . As I was doing mine, my brother came and asked me to join him ,as I refused, he hit me hard on the back that I fell on the dishes”.

The woman thereby tried reconciling the two brothers, but with great efforts.

Neighbors who reacted to the incident however heaped blames on the parents of the youngsters from whom they appear to have copied the idea of fighting
