We’ll Soon Storm The Political Scene With 10m Nigerian Youths –Ajadi

A steadily rising contender in the 2023 general elections, Mr Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo has declared the readiness of his group to storm the political scene soon, with over 10 million Nigerian youths.

Ajadi, who is a national executive member of the Youth Democratic Party of Nigeria (YDPN) and also National President of All Youths Reoriented Initiative of Nigeria, said this would be their way of underscoring their readiness for meaningful engagement not only in the 2023 elections but beyond.

He lamented the suffering in a country so blessed by God, adding that the youths were tired of it all and were now ready to make the desired change.

“Nigerian youths are tired of suffering, and I believe ever the elderly ones are also tired of suffering,

“Look at the kind of natural resources that God has given this country.

“Look at our good  weather from January to December; look at all the states, there are foods, there is abundant and fertile land, there are healthy Nigerians both youths and adults ready to work, yet, there is suffering in the country”.

Ajadi said the leadership was inexcusable for the constant scarcity of fuel for example, when Nigeria was a major producer of petroleum, adding that unfortunately, every time, Nigerians would suffer, fight, sometimes, killing themselves just to buy fuel that God had blessed them with.

He also bemoaned the sheer absence of infrastructure even in states that are considered frontline and developed, whereas yearly budgets run into several billions of naira.

All these and more he said, had forced Nigerian youths to sit up and say, no more.

“The worst is that many youths are unemployed. It is not that they do not want to work, but where is the work for them?.

“There is no light in the villages, no good roads, not good water, so all of us find ourselves coming to jam ourselves in Lagos, Abuja, Calabar, Kaduna,  where there is no work again, it is bad leadership”.

Ajadi said he had read many reports by experts saying that there is no state in the country that God had not given enough resources for its citizens to rely on, but that most governors have refused to develop those resources, making many people to abandon their communities for capitals.

“I laugh when people say Nigerian youths should not leave the country, either by water or desert. If you have really suffered hunger, you will try by all means to survive.

“Nigerian youths are not happy leaving their country to face hardship in another country, but they are doing it, because of the hardship here”.

“Why we are mobilising ourselves is not to fight or cause trouble, no. it is to say, that our country needs better government, and that is what the All Youths Reoriented Initiative of Nigeria has come to offer Nigerians”.

He said his group had mapped out plans of support across the nation, expressing happiness that their number had been increasing.

“Personally, I am surprised by the support we are getting, not only from youths, but also from elderly people who agree with us that this country should be better.

“Everyday, somebody will call, to say “can I support like, or just to say, well done, we support you. It shows us that what we are doing is acceptable to Nigerians”.

Ajadi said some already existing youths groups and political associations had even collapsed their groups just to join the youth movement, expressing optimism that their goals would be achieved.

“Very soon, we will mobilise millions of Nigerian youths to the political scene. And I urge all Nigerians to support us. if you want good things in our country, please, support us”, Ajadi said.
