There is at least one policy of the current administration of President Bola Tinubu that appeals to the sentiments of Peter Obi, his main contender in the 2027 presidential election.
The revelation has come from the man himself, while he appeared on a Arise Television programme yesterday.
Obi singled out the policy of the floating of the Naira.
In his words: “There’s one – the floating of the Naira. I’m not going to defend it. But I’m going to put productivity to make it more valuable to the people.”
The Eagle reports that Obi has, before now, spoken up on the need to cut the cost of governance and fight corruption.
According to him, injecting money into health, education and lifting people out of poverty would yield tremendous advantages.

“You unite the country, secure the country, and put your resources in these critical areas. And you will see the difference.”
“The more you pull people out of poverty, the more you reduce criminality,” he told AFP in an interview.
