With sustained interaction with his people, and a progressive manifesto, the Ogun State gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) may be on his assured way to Government House

Olufemi Ajadi & 2023 – There is little or no doubt that the entry into Ogun politics, of leading entrepreneur, socialite and national icon of youth leadership in the Southwest, Comrade Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has brought a new paradigm to the politics of the region.

It is redefining people engagement in not only politics of the nation, but all other endeavours of value in the life of man.

It is a comparatively short time, that he began his foray into the core of the nation’s politics,  but his personal dynamism has been outstanding.

Ajadi has thus, become a typical case of a man on a mission, and who is mobilizing anything necessary to deliver on the mission.

And he believes, justifiably too, that although the nation and state are well blessed ,but that the people, have not been able to enjoy the rare blessings for reason of lack of responsible leadership.

These and more were part of his message early in the month, October 1st, celebrating Nigeria’s independence.

Thanking God on behalf of the generality of the people for life, bemoaned the challenging economy and its negative effect on the people, declaring that the fault was neither that of God nor the Ogun electorate.

“It is for these reasons that we urge our people to vote wisely in the forthcoming elections, so that life can be better for them”

“To vote casually or carelessly, would be permitting incompetence in the governance of our state and country, and promoting suffering”, he said.

Ajadi recalled the past when October 1st provided great opportunity for school children to march about with Nigerian flags and bright uniforms, saying this was no longer the case.

“The New Nigeria people’s Party is on the ground to make Nigeria and Ogun State better again, by not only improving standard of living of our people, but by also using that to fight insecurity.

“As I wish Nigerians generally, and Ogun people happy independence, I also urge them to open their eyes and support the party and candidates that could bring back the good old days”.

A people-oriented politician, it would interest you to know that the welfare of those around him is of importance to Ajadi, a statement that those that work closely with him can testify to.

He is like a burden bearer to them, and a motivator of those around him, someone who believes more in action than in mere words.

In fact, in the midst of his campaign tours, he took out time recently to visit an foremost industrialist of Ogun extraction – Chief Adewale Teluwo.

The Ajadi visit with his entourage, was one with several lessons. The younger Teluwo, Kehinde Teluwo, is equally a Senatorial candidate in the forthcoming election, for Ogun Central, and Ajadi’s visit to the house was to buoy up support for Kehinde

“It is true that the time for the youths to take over the political leadership of our country has arrived but it is also important to seek the blessing of our fathers to be able to fare well in the contest” Ajadi said, adding that he had come not just to show true friendship with Kehinde, but also to underscore the point that fatherely blessing was essential in realizing such lofty ambitions.

There was little or no doubt that the visit won a lot of fresh supporters for the Ajadi quest to govern Ogun, given its symbolism and also the respect around the person of Chief Teluwo.

There is a local adage that respect begets respect, just like honour begets another one.
