My Unforgettable Memories Of One Million Boys At Ogba
By Akindipe, Joseph Oluwatimilehin
One Million Boys
I have unforgettable memories of the activities of a notorious gang, called the One Million Boys, and this was at Ogba, Lagos.
Till today, it is difficult to forget it because of the way they were operating.
The particular one was during the lock down because of Corona Virus.
It was an unforgettable experience, because the One Million Boys were just disturbing the peace of Lagos, but the neigbourhood that suffered it the most, was my area, Ogba.

At Ogba, the One Million Boys operated at any time of the day and also during the night when people were asleep .
The issue was a very critical one as they then, went about killing people for reasons best known to them, but I guess it was for ritual, because it was always the blood pressure of victims that was needed.
People were so scared of moving about even during the day because of the terrorism of the One Million Boys.
They used different instruments to take their victims down including stones.
These boys were not just using natural powers, they also used some diabolic means because when their victims are awake at night they blow some kind of powdery substance to make them fall asleep.

They would then gain entrance into the innocent people’s homes
The government tried different measures to stop them; and also the landlords went about burning tires to forewarn them.
They also patrolled throughout the night even with the help of police .
The police arrested some of them in a combing of the neigbourhood, and even the thugs weren’t left out in this.
Some of the thugs were caught and burnt alive, while some were handed over to the police
This made the lock-down period to become scary in the Ogba area, and this was because everyday, there was report of loss of lives.

So, people were not losing lives to the Corona Virus alone but also to the terrorists.
It was a very bad experience, and a bad period to think about.
