MOST SHOCKING: Evangelist Joyce Meyer wants to take tattoo

American Christian evangelist, Joyce Meyer, says she’s ‘on the verge’ of getting a tattoo on her shoulder just to “push all the religious people right off the cliff and just get it over with.”

The 74-year-old Christian author and speaker said she is also considering making the move just to make religious demons mad.

Speaking during a recent conference, Joyce Meyer said that holiness is not legalism as Christians make it look.

“Holiness is not legalism. Whatever people used to think holiness was, it just became a mess and a nightmare and really turning a lot of people off, Meyer said.”

Backing her scripture with Isaiah 49, the president of Joyce Meyer Ministries said God has his children tattooed on the palm of his hand.

She also said it is not boring to serve  Jesus Christ while urging her audience not to be restrained by religion.

She said,

“Holiness is not legalism. Whatever people used to think holiness was, it just became a mess and a nightmare and really turning a lot of people off,” Meyer said.

“Holiness became not smoking, not drinking, not playing cards, not cursing, not dancing, not makeup, not wearing pretty clothes, not partying, no jewellery, not having a nice hairstyle.

“You had to cut or not your hair depending on which brand or religion you followed, and God forbid you have a tattoo or you are a man with an earring in your ear.

“I mean that will just put the religious people over the edge…

“Well now, you know i really don’t have time to do that justice but in Isaiah 44:5, it says “One will say I am the Lord’s and another one will call himself by the name of Jacob and another will write or even brand or Tattoo upon his hand I belong to the Lord.

“Well, now there’s some scriptures in there somewhere that tells you not to do that. Yeah, and this is where it’s at Leviticus 20:28, Misquoted. Which says. “You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print or tattoo any marks on you for the dead.

“You know we just pick stuff out of here and leave out what we want to.

“The Bible says in Isaiah 49 that God has a picture of you tattooed on the palm of His hand.

“I’m right on the verge of going and getting a tattoo. I thought I might as well just push all the religious people right off the cliff and just get it over with.

“I belong to the Lord. Why would I do that (get a tattoo)? Just to make religious demons mad, no other reason cos I live in so much bondage from legalism…”
