Ambassador Ajadi Greets Nigerians At Easter, Urges Leaders On Masses’ Welfare

A passionate call has again gone to political leaders in the country to consider the masses in the midst of the current hardship and embark on policies that will alleviate them.

Humanitarian, industrialist and politician, Ambassador Olufefemi Ajade Oguntroyinbo, made the call as part of his Easter message to Nigerians.

Ambassador Ajadi, while greeting Nigerians at Easter, fully identified with them over the prevailing economic and social challenges confronting the country.

He bemoaned the situation saying Nigeria had no business with such suffering because God had blessed it with all it needs to take care of its people.

The only gap, he said, is good and humanitarian leadership based on efficient management of resources given to Nigeria by God.

Ambassador Ajadi also condemned the greed and corruption prevalent in the country especially in official quarters saying that it has accounted to the impoverishment of Nigerians.

According to him, rather than managing the collective resources in the interest of the majority, those in charge, are busy, stashing the wealth away for their selfish needs.

This, the politician said, should be condemned by all men of goodwill, and that the Easter season provides a grand opportunity for leaders who are guilty to repent.

“Can you imagine if all political leaders can be very considerate of the masses for once? Much of the suffering in the country will stop, but because we have leaders who do not have the fear of God, who do not consider the people they are ruling, that is why there is suffering in the country”.

Ambassador Ajadi is a chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and its Ogun State standard bearer in the last gubernatorial election in the state, and industrialist of note with premium brands in the market.

He said his regular interactions with workers and party members, show indeed, the level of economic challenge facing the nation, but that at the same time, his experiences in other countries he had visited, show very poor management of resources at home.

He made a promise: that he would not relent from calling on political leaders, especially those holding executive positions and managing state resources, to be compassionate and considerate of the challenges that the citizens are going through.

Ambassador Ajadi: Leaders at all levels should be more considerate of the masses

“I use this opportunity of Easter celebration to appeal to such leaders agian, to allow the resurrection of Jesus Christ, to touch their hearts.

“I appeal to them to help revive the spirit of hungry Nigerians who have been praying and hoping for a new dawn.

“The reason for the season, Jesus Christ demonstrated leadership abilities by laying down his life for humanity.

“The masses of Nigerians are not expecting too much from their leaders; they are not asking them to lay down their lives, but to be considerate and fair in the management of the national resources

“They are only expecting their entitlement, good governance, which will guarantee for them, basic amenities, safety of lives and property and social welfare,

“We all know that this is possible in Nigeria and I appeal to leaders at different levels to make this happen”, Ambassador Ajadi said.

He reiterated a critical point of his manifesto in the last election, which is for a constitutional clause that would make political leaders accountable to their promises, saying that that was a great way to go.

“There must be a moral obligation on Nigerian politicians, something to hold them accountable to their promises in public office, so that the dividends of democracy can be guaranteed from constituency to constituency”,  he advocated.

Ambassador Ajadi who has been on a global tour, exploring more investment opportunities and sealing more partnership deals and agreements said his desire is for a more permissive Nigerian environment, not only for business investment, but also for the welfare of the citizens.

“That is why, as I greet Nigerians at this Easter celebrations, I encourage them not to lose hope, for with prayer and work, nothing shall be impossible.

“And to leaders, to win the forgiveness of God at Easter by changing their hearts to consider the masses”, Ambassador Olufefemi Ajade Oguntroyinbo stated.
