The recently held Boye Nation/JAF Movement Mega concert held at Ibadan, has spoken volumes about the fate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) come 2027.
It also hints off the chances of presidential candidate and the governor of Oyo State, Mr Seyi Makinde and all others on the ballot of APM.
These were the declarations of APM’s Oyo Central Senatorial District candidate, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo,
He said turnout at the Mega Concert in Ibadan remains significant demonstration of support for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ajadi stated this while speaking with journalists after the event at the Open Tennis Court of the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan, where he joined Governor Seyi Makinde and other APM senatorial candidates in a convoy to the gathering.
The APM Oyo Central senatorial candidate said the large turnout at the event and the participation of political stakeholders demonstrated the growing strength of the party across the state.
Ajadi, who was accompanied by members of his political entourage, said the event provided another opportunity for APM leaders and supporters to interact with the people and further strengthen the party’s grassroots structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
He commended Governor Makinde for his role in mobilising political stakeholders and supporters for the event, noting that the gathering also provided an avenue for members of the party to reaffirm their commitment to the political process ahead of the elections.
The event also witnessed the formal reception of thousands of defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) into the APM. The defectors were led by Ajiboye Sangogade, a Personal Assistant to former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and were drawn from various local government areas across Oyo State.

Speaking at the event, Governor Makinde expressed confidence in the APM’s prospects in the 2027 general elections, saying the party would secure victory across the different levels of the election.
Makinde also criticised the APC governorship candidate, Sharafadeen Alli, over his attacks on the state administration and advised him to concentrate on persuading voters to support his party rather than focusing on the APM’s activities.
The governor further said the electorate would not allow the state to move backwards, while reaffirming his support for the APM governorship candidate, Bimbo Adekanmbi.
“We are welcoming thousands of APC members into the Allied People’s Movement (APM), proving that our victory in 2027 is only a matter of time. We will win massively across the board,” Makinde said.
He added that the political developments leading to the 2027 election indicated increasing support for the APM, while urging opposition politicians to focus on presenting their programmes to the electorate.
