President Bola Tinubu will visit Akwa Ibom and Rivers on Friday and Saturday to commission projects and attend APC rallies ahead of the 2027 elections.

Tinubu is scheduled to begin a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers states on Friday, November 6, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) intensifies its mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The President will first arrive in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, where he is expected to commission several infrastructure projects completed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration and attend a political rally.

According to a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the projects include the new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village at Victor Attah International Airport.

Others are the Airport-Okopedi Road, which connects communities in Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas, and Ring Road 3, linking Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom.

Tinubu is also scheduled to inaugurate the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, Command and Control Centre, and ARISE Palm Resort.Meanwhile, Governor Eno has declared Friday a work-free day to enable residents to welcome the President.

After his engagements in Akwa Ibom, Tinubu will proceed to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday, November 7, to attend an APC rally.

Onanuga described the Rivers event as Tinubu’s third rally since he flagged off his re-election campaign in Kaduna on October 24. He added that the visits would provide opportunities for the President to engage political stakeholders, party members and supporters while promoting national unity and political stability.
