How Lebanese Tried To Sell Nigerian Woman For $1, 000

The story has broken, on how a Lebanese man, identified as Mr. Wael Jerro, attempted selling a Nigerian woman for $1,000.

Jerro is now in the net of the authorities in his home country after his bid on Facebook backfired,

The Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, who broke the news via a tweet Thursday said:

 “Breaking news on Trafficked Nigerian girl for sale on

Facebook by a Lebanese! The Lebanese Government

 just announced the arrest of Mr. WAEL JERRO for

onward prosecution against criminal sales of a human,

a young Nigerian girl,” she wrote.

The woman is believed to be a native of Oyo State, and the indication is that she has been rescued.

Mrs Dabiri-Erewa, however, did not say if the the Lebanese, who offered to sell the Nigerian domestic worker had been arrested.

The report was that the said man had prospected the transaction on his Facebook page in Arabic language calling the attention of buyers.

IT was however a Nigerian who could understand the language that spilled the beans after interpreting the offer.

He wrote “Domestic worker from Nigeria for sale with new legal documents. She’s 30 years old, she’s very active and very clean. Price: $1000,”
