I wish to bring to your notice about the menace of thefts exhibited at Iju Ishaga. It is a very serious malaise plaguing my neighbourhood.
There are regular reports of shops being burgled and goods stolen.
One of the cases occurred last year. A woman newly acquired a shop, and after a month, thieves came to steal her goods which included foodstuffs worth thousands of Naira; her freezer and other things in the shop. This is one out of many cases of the menace.
Another happened last month: a shop was also burgled, and a television was stolen
Another issue is pick-pocketing and snatching of bags and purses or anything in one’s hands. And as a result of these, residents or shop keepers are forced to close early for business each day.
I am therefore requesting the intervention of the government and police on how this threatening situation of theft in the area it could be curbed. Reports have been made, but no response.

I will be glad if this is acknowledged and i get a favourable response to a better living condition of the residents of iju ishaga.
Yours sincerely,
