Ireland news updates: The economy may be speaking negative elsewhere, but in the Republic of Ireland, there is something to cheer.

The Eagle reports that on the back of a boisterous and target-driven official policy, she is now leading in industrial output in the European Union (EU), with manufacturing output growth put at 6.4 %.

This is amongst the highest monthly increase of all countries within the region, and against the background of prior estimates by experts of growth within 0-5 %.

With a population estimate of 13m by 2021, she recorded a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) exceeding $504 billion and a per capita GDP of $100,602 in the same year.

Official euphemism is on continued economic recovery, job retention and creation, healthcare reform, housing and counteracting rising inflation, according to International Trade Administration reports.

These positive runs is already leaving a multi sector impact, development in housing being  a clear example. The Society of Chartered Surveyors recently compiled a list estimating that that property price inflation will likely stabilise this year, as against double-digit rises last year.

The SCSI’s new report, according to Irish News, highlights a large proportion of rental properties coming on the market. Arpimd 40% on the average of residential sale instructions to agents in the fourth quarter of 2022 were from landlords looking to sell their investment property.

“SCSI agents are reporting that the supply of available units to rent is at one of the lowest levels ever experienced and they don’t believe the situation is set to improve in the short term.”

It may be a sort of shock to property owners on the short run, but stability in prices, is generally considered a hallmark of good economic planning.
