The Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN), Nigeria’s governing body for Professional fashion designers, has released details of the ‘Founder’s Edition’ of its Fashion Show and Edition for 2021.
In a release to The Eagle, the association said 2021 FADAN Mart which would feature runway shows and fashion art exhibitions would hold under the theme‘Founder’s Edition’.
It is scheduled for the Balmoral Events Hall, Federal Palace Hotel Victoria Island Lagos on the 28,November 2021, between 9 am and 8 pm
The release signed bv the association’s Publicity Secretary, Adejare Adejobi, said the event is in celebration of the vision, accomplishments and enduring legacy of Mrs. Shade Thomas Fahm, the Association’s dear and treasured Founder.
According to the release, she is it was who, by dint of diligence and commitment brought the association into reckoning.
In addition, the event would mark the end of the year sales for designers, Adejobi said.
“The Fashion show would have emerging designers showcase their latest collections on the runway, whilst the Exhibition would serve as an opportunity for emerging and established designers to showcase their collections to the world and meet prospective clients.
“We hope to have both local and international media coverage.’’
“We also plan to have a Fashion panel session which would see established and seasoned Professional Fashion Designers dissect contemporary issues, share success nuggets and their experiences on how emerging designers can grow their brands to become global brands”, he added.
The Eagle understands that the objective of the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN), is to create an enabling platform across Nigeria and the globe, for creative Nigerian Fashion Designers and Fashion entrepreneurs to showcase the beauty and creativity of Africa through their designs and costumes.

Not only is FADAN strongly committed to promoting and positioning African designers within the global fashion space, especially up and coming designer, it is unleashing the ‘Power of Africa’ in the fashion industry.
