Immediate Past District Governor of Rotary International District 9112, Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin (FCIA), has been honoured with City People Special Leadership Award.
The award was given to him in in Lagos on Sunday, inrecognition of his outstanding leadership and remarkable contributions in the area of humanitarian service.
It recognises Adedoyin’s exceptional stewardship of Rotary International District 9112 during the 2025/2026 Rotary year, which witnessed significant achievements in community development, membership growth, youth empowerment and strategic partnerships.
City People said the award celebrates leaders whose vision, integrity and commitment have translated into measurable impact within their organisations and society.
During his tenure as District Governor, Adedoyin championed initiatives across Rotary’s areas of focus, including maternal and child health, disease prevention, basic education and literacy, environmental sustainability, economic empowerment and peacebuilding.
His administration also strengthened collaboration among clubs, expanded Rotary’s visibility and inspired increased participation in humanitarian projects across the district.
Beyond Rotary, Adedoyin is an eminent legal practitioner and the Principal of *T.L. Adedoyin & Co.*, where he has distinguished himself through decades of legal practice, professional excellence and a commitment to justice.
Receiving the award, Adedoyin described the recognition as a testament to the power of collective service and dedicated leadership.
He dedicated the honour to God, his family, especially his wife for her love, encouragement and steadfast support throughout his tenure, as well as club presidents, district officers, committee members, partners and every Rotarian whose commitment contributed to the successes recorded during the Rotary year.
“This award reflects the collective efforts of everyone who believed in our shared vision of service. I am deeply grateful to my family, especially my wife, whose support made this journey possible, and to every Rotarian who worked tirelessly to make our year a success,” he said.
