How To Benefit From The N-Power Cash Programme

N-Power programme of the Federal Government is set up to provide a platform for Nigerians access income through a deployment of their skills.

Such skills are to enable them to set up enterprises and vocations, and N-Power particularly targets people within the age ranges of 18 and 35.

Because it is a programme of the Federal Government, there is a level of surety that following the basic guidelines will enable you to benefit from the programme.

• The N-Power Volunteer Corps is the post-tertiary engagement initiative for Nigerians between 18 and 35. It is a paid volunteering programme
• Duratio – 2-year

The graduates will undertake their primary tasks in identified public services within their proximate communities. In 2016, the Federal Government engaged 200,000 N-Power Volunteers, and 300,000 in 2017.

• N-Power volunteers will provide teaching, instructional, and advisory solutions in 4 key areas.
• Through the N-Power Agro, 100,000 qualified young Nigerians would be engaged as volunteers to provide advisory services to farmers across the country.

Qualifications

 +Bachelor’s degree, HND or OND holders in Nutrition, Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Animal Science, Crop Science, Food Science & Technology, and other agro related disciplines.

Duration – 2 Years

–Careers likely after graduation are in the areas of

+Agriculture Extension Services Consultant

+Seed fertilizer and other input aggregators

+Farm managers

+Public sector jobs in agriculture

+Farming co-operatives management

+Agro-entrepreneurship

-N-Power Teach Volunteers will help improve basic education delivery in Nigeria.

-Upon graduation, they will be deployed as teacher assistants in primary schools around Nigeria.

-Graduates of the N-Power Tech  programme will not replace the current teachers, but will work as support teachers across Nigeria, assisting with teaching, school management etc.

-Where possible, they will also assist in taking basic education to children in marginalised communities.
