Three Things That Can Make Or Mar The Elections

New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) gubernatorial candidate in Ogun State, has listed three things that can make or mar the elections, kicking off nationwide tomorrow.

He has, as a result called on all well-meaning Nigerians to play their part towards ensuring that the elections became a success by every standard.

Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, who asserted the readiness of his party to make a difference, listed what he considered the three things that can make or mar the elections to include, commitment of the electorate to voting and making their votes count, political will on the side of the election umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and the readiness of the security agencies to do their job of ensuring order

He therefore urged the tripartite parties to rise up to the huge challenges entrusted on them by circumstance and write their names in gold

He said both Nigerians, the world and posterity would remember these parties to the election either for good or for bad, depending on what they choose to do.

“The election will mark a turning point in Nigeria and Nigerians so long we are  are all willing to play our parts.

“it is my prayer that we all recognise the huge responsibility on our shoulders and help Nigeria conduct her best elections ever”.

Expatiating on the role of the INEC for example, ,Ajadi advised its officials to consolidate the good work they had been doing these past years by not allowing themselves to be used by selfish politicians with nothing to offer Nigerians.

Describing their role as that sacred midwives, he said they must, not only ensure safe delivery of the baby but also the safety of the mother.

“For the voters, it is what they do with their ballots that would determine the fate of the country in the next four years

” I therefore advise them not to mortgage it, nor the future of their children because of selfish politicians.

“I have no doubt in my mind that God wants to lift our country, and there can’t be a better time to do so than now, but we must take cognisance, like i said, of the three things that can make or mar the elections”, Ajadi said.
