This year’s independent anniversary celebration is one that would not be forgotten in a hurry by the pupils and staff members of the Home of God’s Grace at Agbowa, in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.

This is because on at day, beyond the recitations and anthem matches elsewhere, the Stephen Akintayo Foundation came to show them love in a new dimension.

By about 10am, the Foundation team set out for the good work, and they were welcome by an infectious joy on the faces of their hosts.

That warm reception alone was enough to melt the impact of the commuting rigour journeying to the orphanage.

In addition to bringing them packages of goodies for bodily welfare, the foundation also offered sponsorship to pupils from primary one to SS3.

In all, over twenty cheques were given to the home’s students to ease their challenge of paying for their education.

The Eagle investigations show that the Stephen Akintayo Foundation is motivated by the realisation that love is a vital tool for a peaceful and secured environment.

“Although love is relative to all, there are people who need it more than others due to being victims of various circumstances.  These people are the widows, orphans and the helpless”, a foundational brief by the foundation said.

It is also convinced that love is an instrument that puts smiles on people’s faces and something every human craves for, and much more that people should be willing to demonstrate this love when and anytime the opportunity presents itself.

This is an act that speaks volume. We pray the children grow great and do greater things than these. God bless you Dr Stephen!
