San Diego Weather Update: What To Expect Today, Tomorrow

San Diego weather report today, saw a noticeable warm-up from Tuesday, with the biggest changes in inland and mountain areas.

Temperatures in the mountains ran 10 to 15 degrees warmer than Monday. Along the coast, highs remained mild in the mid- to upper 60s. Inland areas are reaching the 70s, while deserts are warming into the mid-80s.

A slight increase in temperatures is expected Wednesday.

By Thursday, highs will stay close to average for this time of year as a low-pressure system moves to the south, helping keep conditions steady.

A stronger warm-up arrives just in time for the weekend.

High pressure will bring the warmest temperatures of the week Friday and Saturday. Inland areas are expected to run 5 to 10 degrees above average. Saturday highs will range from the low 70s near the coast to the mid-80s and low 90s inland. Desert areas could reach the upper 90s to around 100 degrees.

The brief warm spell will not last long.

A low-pressure system off the California coast will move inland Sunday into early next week, bringing a cooling trend through Tuesday. By Tuesday, temperatures will be near average along the coast and a few degrees below average in the mountains and deserts.

There is also a slight chance of showers early next week.

Overall, the pattern brings a midweek warm-up, a hotter inland weekend, and cooler conditions returning early next week.
