AS Roma defender, Chris Smalling was a victim of attempted burglary as suspected thieves broke a window and tried to take a safe from his Rome residence.

The attempted break-in at Smalling’s residence in Tor Carbone, the Appia Antica neighbourhood, occurred on Monday.

In a report published by CorrieredelloSport, it was stated that a group of intruders burst through the football player’s window, tried to take his safe, and then left the scene.

A forensic team visited the crime scene in addition to the police, who are presently examining the matter.
