NECO Announces 3 Key Rules For Its Candidates

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced three key rules for its candidates.

It made the announcement through a statement by its Registrar, Dantani Wushishi, issued to journalists in Minna, the Niger State capital on Monday,

One is for candidates who want to reprint their certificates: they will now have to pay a N50,000 fee.

The council said requests for such reprints, “will only be accepted within one year of the original certificate issuance. After this period, the council will no longer entertain such requests”.

The second is that certificate reprints will now attract a fee of N50, 000, and “The N50,000 fee for certificate reprints is subject to periodic review.”

Also, candidates now have to submit requests for correction of results within a one month time frame, NECO said.

The Eagle reports that NECO was created by former Head of State Abdulsalami Abubakar in April 1999.
