Man United Outcast Sancho Offered New Escape Route 

Manchester United outcast, Jadon Sancho has reportedly been offered a new escape route after Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona cooled their interest.

The 23-year-old has encountered difficulties under boss Erik ten Hag after failing to maintain his stellar form at Borussia Dortmund after joining the Premier League in 2021. Sancho was expelled from the first team by the Dutch tactician in September after a public spat, which sparked rumours of a January move.

RB Leipzig is reportedly mulling a January transfer for the right winger after expressing interest, according to Bild.

However, Leipzig are apprehensive of Sancho’s £17 million-a-year salary and the figure could pose a challenge to any potential move. Barcelona and Juventus are also monitoring Sancho’s situation but it is unlikely that they would match his wage demands unless he agrees to take a massive pay cut.

Recent reports revealed that United’s football director, John Murtough, explored interest from Saudi Pro League clubs for high-profile players, including Sancho, Casemiro, Anthony Martial, and Raphael Varane. However, no deals were agreed upon during Murtough’s trip to Saudi Arabia.

In a 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest in late August, Sancho made his final appearance in a competitive match while wearing a United shirt. Additionally, he was expelled by the management after replying to Ten Hag on social media and saying he was being used as a “scapegoat.” Offloading the player is apparently a priority for the club in the forthcoming winter transfer window, despite the Dutch tactician’s insistence that he is ready to welcome him back to the fold if he provides an apology.
