The Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike and the Labour Party’s Presidential candidate, Peter Obi met with former president Olusegun Obasanjo on Thursday in London.
THEEAGLE learned that the meeting was a part of discussions leading up to the 2023 presidential election, despite the fact that specifics were still hazy at the time this report was filed.

Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, Samuel Ortom, Okezie Ikpeazu, the governor of Abia State, and Donald Duke, the former governor of Cross River State, were among the allies of Wike who attended the meeting.
A meeting between Wike and the Peoples Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar will also take place in London later today, according to information obtained by THEEAGLE.
