Investors Lose N20 Billion As Market Continues Bearish

The Nigeria stock market (NGX) closed bearish with a loss of N20 billion, driving down the broad market by 35.72 basis points.

The All Share Index (ASI) lost 0.08% of its value to end the day at 44,011.22 points. The market capitalization decreased by N20 billion in a similar vein

As of the close of the market on Thursday, the 17th of November 2022, the stock exchange market value stands at N23.9 trillion.

Market depth, meanwhile, ended the day’s trading session in the negative, with GUINNESS leading 21 losers and UNILEVER leading 13 gainers.

Notably, since the beginning of the year, the stock market has increased by 1,294.78 basis points, or 3.03 percent.

The top earners include UNILEVER  with a jump by  +10.00% to close at N11.00 followed by STANBIC up +9.09 % to close at N30.00.
UPL also rose  up by 8.93 % to close at N1.83, SOVRENINS followed through by 8.33 % to close at N0.26 an d ROYALEX jumped by 6.85 % to close at N0.78
