Getafe Make ‘Huge’ Greenwood Offer As La Liga Big Guns Loom

Getafe have reportedly tabled a mega bid to make Mason Greenwood ‘s loan move from Manchester United permanent.

The Sun claims that the La Liga team is willing to nearly treble their trade record by paying United £40 million ($51.2 million) in exchange for the attacker. According to reports, Greenwood is also linked to Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid. His manager, Jose Bordalas, and Atletico’s Antoine Griezmann have praised Greenwood for his impressive achievements in Spain.

Following a six-month inquiry into the player’s behaviour off the pitch, United decided to break things off with him. After spending 20 months on the sidelines, Greenwood has performed well, which begs more questions for his parent club, who must decide whether to pay a high price for the player who is contracted to United until the summer of 2025 or to controversially bring him back to Old Trafford.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the club’s new minority owner, will likely pick those in charge of player recruiting and football operations to make the decision.
