Eid-Ul-Mawlid: Ajadi Felicitates With Muslims, Enjoins Nigerians To Embrace Peace

The gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Ogun State, Olufemi Ajadi, has joined Muslims in the country in celebrating this year’s Eid-ul-Mawlid Celebration.

He also also urged Nigerians to embrace peaceful existence for the development of the country,

Ajadi who spoke while addressing journalists at his office in Abeokuta on Saturday, October 8, Ajadi said the celebration in commemoration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, was a good opportunity to remind Nigerians on the importance of living in peace with one another.

He said the festival was more symbolic than the merriments but a timely call on people of goodwill to see others in good light.

This, Ajadi said, was one good way of ensuring peace and progress in any nation.

He advised Nigerians to distance themselves from anyone no matter his creed or political affiliation sowing seeds of discord in their midst, saying that nations do not sustain growth in such an atmosphere.

According to Ajadi, it is only in peaceful coexistence that the qualities in each individual could be harnessed for national growth, saying such harnessing was only possible in peace.

He congratulated all Muslims from Ogun State and those in the diaspora for witnessing this year’s occasion, adding that it was high time they worked for the better integration of Ogun State.

“While I congratulate you all, and pray that you witness more celebrations in the future, I also owe it as a duty to remind us all on the importance of our civic responsibilities and citizens of the state and the nation.

“We should be reminded that Ogun State can only become the state we desire by contributing our quota towards that direction. Let us play our roles to make this happen”, he said,

“2023 is around the corner, and we must play our parts in the upcoming election to ensure a better future for us and for all our kids.

“I wish all my people from Ogun State and other Nigerians as well a happy Mawlud Nobiyy Celebration,” he said.
