Done Deal! Feyenoord Coach Slot Set To Replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool
Liverpool have ‘signed’ a deal to recruit Feyenoord coach Arne Slot as Jurgen Klopp’s replacement at the end of the season.
The 45-year-old will take over as manager of Anfield this summer after a deal between Liverpool and Feyenoord was reached, according to The Athletic.

The Reds made an early bid for Slot on Wednesday, but the Dutch team quickly rejected it because of the compensation package that was being given. The former midfield player can now move to the Premier League as this issue has been settled.
Liverpool’s interest in Slot was only revealed earlier in the week – after Feyenoord had secured the Dutch cup against Nijmegen last weekend.
Brighton and Hove Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi and Sporting CP’s Ruben Amorim had previously been considered frontrunners for the role – but it is Slot who Liverpool CEO Michael Edwards and sporting director Richard Hughes ultimately opted for.
Speaking on the possibility of Slot taking over from him this summer, Klopp said: “What I like a lot about it is if he is the one then he wants to take the job – he’s desperate, excited, let’s go for it.
“I like the way his team play football and all the things I hear about him as a guy. Some people I know, know him, I don’t know him yet. Good coach, good guy.
“If he’s the solution for the club then I am more than happy. It’s not up to me to judge but it all sounds really good to me.”
In the race for the Premier League championship, the Reds have dropped to third position, three points behind leaders Arsenal. Even if the season is winding down, Klopp will play out his remaining games as the team’s manager and will be duly recognised at the end of the campaign.
The club will then enter a new era under Slot this summer.
