The Eagle reports that the black market dollar to naira exchange rate today March 1, 2024 is pegged at N1510/$1.

This is according to parallel market sources, operating in Lagos, Abuja and Ibadan.

The buying rate trades at N1500/$ while the selling rate trades at N1510/$1.

The official Central Bank of Nigeria’s exchange rate of the US dollar to the Nigerian naira, as of today, 1 March 2024, is ₦1,596 per US dollar.

Yesterday, the American counterpart dipped 0.89 per cent against the local currency at the official Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM), to settle at N1595/$1 against N1616.83/$ on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, currency traders operating via the Peer2Peer segment are trading the local currency at N1550/$1.

Findings by The Eagle have revealed that the  P2P operators have improvised other means on Telegram and other social media platforms to continue their currencies exchange after Binance declared it’s intent to partner with the Federal Government.
