Church Founder Suspends Leader For Worshipping In Another Church

The founder and leader of Christ Liberty Church located at No 1 Orile Oshodi Road, Lagos State, Pastor Fisayo Michael has suspended a church member who is also a worker in his church for daring to honour and perform in another church where he was invited.

A competent source told The Eagle that the matter is causing ripples in the ministry with members wondering why a Christian should be punished for identifying with another ministry of similar objectives.

The source said it had become a culture for  the Pastor to warn his church members not to visit or worship in any other church, under no circumstance,

In the latest case, he had said because he pays the youth’s school fees and empowered business men and women with no interest loan, that he deserved total loyalty.

Any member found wanting against his instructions are publicly disgraced and ridiculed during any of the church programmes without given rooms for defense.

A church member who spoke to our correspondent said, she will only talk as anonymous because she is a well known member through her name.

“It is now a culture among the church workers and even members not to express their opinions over any matter whether it is good or bad, once the pastor has spoken”.

According to her, “At Liberty,  there is no liberty here but imprisonment of one’s freedom. No body wants to be the subject of the next sermon.

“For the brother that was suspended, how is that you must take permission before you go to worship elsewhere?  We are required to take permission from those closer to Daddy, And the person that went and report to Daddy is a hypocrites who is seeking for financial favor,” she said.

She quoted the pastor as declaring: “As your spiritual father I can say anything to anyone because I am not afraid of anybody and no one can judge me or shut my mouth except God because I am in charge.”
