Woman Slumps, Dies While Sharing Testimony In Church
Worshippers were stunned on Sunday after a woman who had come forward to share testimony in church slumped and died.
The incident happened in a Lagos church and involved a 55-year-old woman, identified simply as Ifeoma.
The tragedy occurred around 8:48 am during Sunday service, according to the spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, who spoke to Punch.
“The Zonal accountant of the church in Ejigbo came to the station and reported that during testimony hour in the church, while the service was on, Ifeoma came out singing songs to give her testimony when she suddenly slumped.
“She was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital but was referred to the General Hospital in Isolo, where she was confirmed dead.
“Based on the report, detectives were detailed to visit the hospital with the complainant. On getting there, they were told that the husband and family of the deceased had taken the corpse to Anambra State, where she came from for burial.”
What Can Cause People To Slump And Die?

The heart is a major organ that has to function optimally, and during intense physical activities, the heart works more, pumping blood adequately to support the brain. The brain is also what keeps people alive, but if it is deprived of blood supply for more than four minutes, a person can go unconscious and this could lead to death.

According to Rohshi, quoting experts, stress is major factor for people slumping and dying
“The last time I checked, I realise people no longer give time for themselves.
“Another one is High Blood Pressure and poor diet. Eating foods that will nourish the body should be a habit not just eating anything.
It can be prevented by regular medical checkup. The patient or person must make sure he/she takes the adequate medication as at when due, go for medical checkup generally and manage his or her health condition appropriately”, the platform said..
