Chinmaya Foundation Continues Support Of Covid Victims In India

Chinmaya Foundation, an Indian-based volunteer organiation has reiterated its commitment to total eradication of the Corona Virus (Covid) in the country.

It has as result continued its sensitisation programme in some districts of India about the virus while also donating kits to needy residents.

The latest gestured impacted poor, needy and the helpless residents of Babalpur of Dasarathpur block of Jajpur district of India.

In a release to The Eagle, the organisation said its commitment to the eradication of Covid in India was in line with the vision of the founder and Chairperson, Mr.Chinmaya Dash.

It said the latest gesture was the 64th in the foundation’s Fortnightly Corona Awareness, Kit & Relief Distribution Programme.

“Corona is on the decline throughout India, but not completely eradicated.

“According to yesterday’s data, 0.04 percent of the country has been infected with corona, while 98.78 percent have recovered and 1.22 percent are under treatment”, it observes, adding that until the epidemic’s complete disappearance from the country, it would sustaind the periodical outreach.

“The Chinmaya Foundation” in Babalpur of Dasarathpur block of Jajpur district, has been working to sensitise the people with Covid kits and help the needy.

“This organisation has provided assistance to the poor, needy and the helpless. In this context, the programme has been running for a long time from 946 to 960 days in various places of Jajpur district”, it said in the release.

It added that aside the chairperson of the Chinmaya Foundation Mr. Chinmaya Dash, that other volunteers included Shreekshetra Sahoo & Preetam Kumar Jena, who also participated in the distribution of the relief items.

It will be recalled that the foundation has continuously provided food, clothing and awareness to unconscious people, street children, beggars, orphans and also mentally challenged persons in what it describes as non-stop process that began from 22nd March 2020.
