The breaking news is that all the kidnapped pupils and teachers in Orire, Oyo have been rescued by our security agencies.
They regained their freedom today, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga has revealed.
He did so in a post he shared on his verified X handle thsu: “Finally, all the kidnapped pupils and teachers in Orire, Oyo have been rescued by our security agencies,” he wrote.
Though further details are being awaited, but it is one piece of news that would gladden the hearts and souls of Nigerians, who had been praying for the release of the captives.

Many families have lived these few months since the abduction in agony, not knowing their status.
As of the time of filing this report, details surrounding their release, including whether any ransom was paid or the circumstances leading to their freedom, had yet to be disclosed.
