The Naira opened at 1,382.87 per dollar at the official window, reaching a high of 1,383.69 before settling at approximately 1,383.41 by mid-morning.

From the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) data, the closing rate for the previous session on March 4 was 1,382.65, with a daily mean rate of 1,388.13.

In the parallel or informal market, data from across the different locations somewhat converge, with the Naira selling at between 1,390 and 1,405 per dollar.
