Salah Admits ‘Tough Situation’ At Liverpool, Advises Young Starlets To Be Calm

Mohamed Salah acknowledges that Liverpool are in a “difficult situation,” but he believes that a “unbelievable bunch” can turn things around.

The Reds, who have recently placed themselves in the running for almost every major award, have struggled to maintain consistency throughout a season marred by injuries in 2022–23.

As a result, Jurgen Klopp‘s team is currently ninth in the Premier League standings, 10 points behind the top four and out of contention to qualify for the Champions League. Salah acknowledges that the team must raise its collective standards if it is to play its way back into form.

According to Salah, “We have a really nice group. I’ve stated it before,” on the official Liverpool website. I’ve been on three or four teams, so I am aware of the distinctions between our squad and the others. We have an amazing group. The more seasoned players always try to maintain their composure and simply advise the younger players to do the same. We always try to assist the young players. Although the situation is difficult, I believe we can overcome it and improve it.

Salah has continued to contribute to Liverpool this season, scoring an additional 17 goals across all competitions to surpass the legendary Kenny Dalglish as the club’s all-time leading scorer.
