Saudi El Classico! Al-Hilal Preparing $300m Offer For Messi

The on-field rivalry between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo may resume as Al-Hilal is reportedly considering a $300 million offer for the Argentine.

After several weeks of rumors, Ronaldo agreed to a £175 million per year contract with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr in December.

Al-Hilal, a fierce competitor of Al-Nassr, is reportedly putting up a complex strategy to recruit Messi in the summer.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Al-Hilal is prepared to pay the victor of the 2022 World Cup a staggering $300 million (£247.4 million) year to compete in the Saudi Pro League.

Despite having a one-year extension option, the 35-year-contract old’s with Paris Saint-Germain expires in the summer. However, Messi has reportedly promised to sign an extension with the French team and commit to at least one more season at Parc des Princes before considering his options.
