Why Maxwell Adeleye Resigns As Ilana Omo Oodua Spokesperson

Maxwell Adeleye, the communications director for Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, resigned as the Yoruba self-determination group’s spokesperson on Thursday.

Adeleye announced his resignation as of right away in a letter to Professor Banji Akintoye, the leader.

“I write to notify you of my resignation as Communications Secretary, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide with immediate effect.

“My dear Baba Alana, you and I and Almighty God knows why I chose to throw in the towel. It is more honourable to leave everything to God, posterity and history to judge than go into hullabaloo or brouhaha with you,” the letters read.

Recall that the Ilana Omo Odua’s leader, Prof. Banji Akintoye, had earlier asserts that foreign terrorists have seized control of the entire country, not only the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

According to Akintoye, the security situation in Nigeria is dire and has already gotten worse.

Akintoye claimed that the Yoruba people needed their own country in order to end the insecurity when speaking over the phone during the group’s Congress on Tuesday in Ibadan.

He assured the people who had assembled to choose the party’s temporary leadership that this would be accomplished before the end of December and that they were holding a number of meetings to ensure it was.

According to him, “Our nation is in serious danger, there is insecurity in our land. Foreign terrorists brought by the Fulani are all over our land but we shall drive them away.

“By the grace of God, we shall have our country before the end of December. I repeat, we shall have our nation before the end of December by the grace of God.”
