TuFace Explains Why African Queen Was A Mixed Blessing

Talented Nigerian musicians, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface has made an interesting revelation about his hit song, African Queen.

He said the work was a mixed blessing, coming with both its good sides and burden.

“That song has been a very huge blessing and e don turn to problem join for me, you know, but Like I said earlier, I’m grateful for everything.

“There are so many other songs I have that are brilliant, and many people resonate with them too,” he said, but that African Queen remains his most iconic

Tubaba as he is also known, apparently referred to the ownership issue that cropped up between him and former Plantashun Boiz bandmate, Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo, popularly known as Blackface.

The artiste owed much of his fame to the 2004 release, but controversy was to trail it afterwards, with Blackface claiming ownership.

There are so many other songs I have that are brilliant, and many people resonate with them too,” he said.

The Eagle reports that Tuface, had caused so much stir online when early in the year, he announced his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia.

In an Instagram post, he said he had separated with Ann, bringing an end to a union that was consummated in 2012, and produced two daughters.
